Nutrition and PNI

From nutrition basics to comprehensive lifestyle changes.

Clinical psychoneuroimmunology (PNI)

PNI is a discipline based on scientific evidence that, in a comprehensive manner, studies how all human body systems communicate with each other and allows us to understand the mechanisms by which the disease appears.

In this way we can intervene at different levels to guide you towards healing.

What we take into account

Describe some quality or characteristic of the company. Write a short paragraph about it and select an appropriate icon.

Short title

Physical activity

There is no such thing as a healthy sedentary human being.

Digestive system

The integrity of the enteric nervous and immune systems, as well as the intestinal mucosa and microbiota.

Food

The integrity of the nervous and immune systems, as well as the intestinal mucosa and microbiota.

Describe some quality or characteristic of the company. Write a short paragraph about it and select an appropriate icon.

Short title

Immune system

Depending on the stimuli it receives from the outside (digestive system, microbiota, diet, environment, nervous system, etc.), it will generate a cytochemical environment, in which there may be regulated and coherent reactions or, on the contrary, when there is low-grade inflammation, will generate disproportionate reactions, either because they are excessive or because they cannot control everything

Psychosocial context-nervous system

The person's psychosocial context directly influences the nervous system. The nervous system will “ration” the energy available for essential tasks such as digestion, detoxification, and tissue repair.

We are not what we eat, we are what we absorb.

Even the most nutrient-rich diet will not be effective if the body is not able to absorb its nutrients.

We offer a nutritional plan that will help repair these mechanisms to properly use nutrients, effectively.

It can help you if you suffer...

The PNI allows those diseases labeled as chronic to be directed towards health, which, a priori, are difficult to understand through the classical approach of medicine.

  • Immune disorders

Allergy, sinusitis, autoimmune diseases: lupus, fibromyalgia, hypo or hyperthyroidism, arthritis...

  • Hormonal problems

Menstruation disorders, painful menstruations, polycystic ovaries, endometriosis, amenorrhea or infertility.

  • Digestive symptoms

Heavy digestion, gas, heartburn, gastritis, bloating, intolerances, diarrhea, constipation, irritable colon, h.pylori and the symptoms after its treatment, people who "everything feels bad"...

  • Muscle and joint pain

Low back pain, pain, overload, injuries, arthritis, bursitis, injury prevention, faster recovery from injuries or “chronic” injuries

  • Skin symptoms

Acne, herpes, rosacea, blepharitis, skin rashes, fungi, psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis...

  • Unhealthy weight

From a completely different approach than counting calories and nutrients. Pathologies associated with overweight (cholesterol, hypertension...)

Where do I begin?

First consult

Extensive questionnaire to know the physical, psychological and social aspects. In the first consult, the set of factors are identified.

Clinic tests

Assessment and scheduling of clinical tests if necessary to complete the diagnosis (analytics, microbiota test, etc.)

Therapeutic plan

Once the causes of the dysfunctions are known, treatment is considered. This can be at all levels from simple nutrition, orthomolecular therapy (supplementation), emotional and stress management, physical exercise...

Second consultation

In the second consultation, the therapeutic plan will be delivered and we will work on the next steps.

I consider essential to understand what has caused the problem rather than simply treating the symptoms. It is not just about changing a medication for something natural, since in the end a similar approach is followed. What I really find interesting is to deeply understand the molecular biology and physiology to discover what is behind the symptoms that people experience. This change has marked a turning point in my life and my professional approach.
